MY THOUGHTS ON REPARATIONS African peoples were deprived of their homes their lands their cultures their freedom and their lives. Their labor and that of their descendants was forcefully taken and used in the development of this country and its wealth. For years the descendants of African slaves have been and continue to be denied access to the benefits of their stolen and freely given labor, their loyalty, their taxes, their blood, and their lives in service to this country.
